Responsibilities : Wayne, PA 1-2 days a week, Remainder of the week in Philly. M-F 8AM-5PM and On Call
The Senior Unix administrator is responsible for the management and monitoring of production and development UNIX servers. In addition, the Senior Unix Administrator is responsible for administering and managing storage. The major job responsibilities include the following:
.Solaris operating systems installations patching, upgrading,
.Operating system configuration and maintenance
.System performance monitoring and availability
.Storage management and space allocation
.Design and implementation of high availability and high performing server environments
.Supporting production systems according to required service level agreements
.Supporting database and development teams and the release management process
.Researching and designing systems solutions supporting current and future application and database technologies
.Mentoring other members of the group
.Adhering to Change control processes
