| Congreso de Latinos Unidos is seeking a CTC VISTA volunteer to lead the “Congreso in the Digital Age” project which involves the expansion of Congreso’s website, development of Congreso’s intranet and the creation of a portal to provide easy access to these technological resources for staff. The CTC VISTA volunteer will work closely with our IT department to construct and maintain an intranet for the agency. Will also create training manuals and provide training session to interested parties who could then continue these projects after the volunteer’s tenure has been completed at the agency. Through one year of national services in a nonprofit agency CTC Vista members earn an approximately $11,000/year living allowance, a $4,725 educational award that can go toward further education or to paying off student loans or members can earn a $1,200 stipend at the completion of services. Participants may also receive a student loan deferment during service, payment for relocation, health benefits and prescription drug coverage, and can participate in wonderful networking and learning opportunities to gain entrance into the nonprofit sector. Recommended Qualifications: Knowledge of SQL, MySQL, MDB, MacroMedia Technology (Contribute, Dreamweaver, Flash, Freehand, Cold Fusion, Fireworks), and one or more of the following: asp, html, php, xml, and .net; Website design and maintenance (including development of blogs, wiki resources, and podcasts); Excellent communication skills; Strong attention to details Ad provided by Idealist.org |
